Time at the Beach!!

Well...we finally had a break in the weather here at the beach so down to the sand we went...and the FOAM was amazing!! I had no idea how much foam rough water can create!! It was high tide so we couldn't go down the beach but the kids had fun flinging the foam anyway!!

See how small this space is? Yup...it is a CLOSET!! Landon was going to sleep downstairs with the girls...but with lots of WII going on it was hard to find some quiet time...so he decided that a "mouse house" was just wanted he wanted. Totally cracks us up...we'll put him to bed with the doors open (of course) and go back to check on him and sure enough...almost every time has the closet door closed on himself...he says he is dreaming about eating cheese...go figure!! Apparently no fear of small dark spaces going on here!!

Yup...these little grape nuggets are ICE!! It is amazing to see how much these big ole trees can hold!! The sounds of cracking trees is everywhere...but so far none have been in our yard!! YES....these branches really are touching the ground...the elasticity is amazing!! But...some have not been so fortunate...not a good day to be a tree!!

We have decided these are the COOLEST icicles...they aren't hurting anything so have been voted our favorite...it is a little harder to love the ones on the trees that are doing so much damage!! Brittni is still scheduled for a choir concert this afternoon and evening...so we'll see how that develops...at the moment there are VERY few cars on the roads...and only ones with chains are even giving it a try!!

ITS A WINTER WONDERLAND!!

Well...the weather outside is frightful...but the pics are so delightful...okay...I'll stop now!! Was an a beautiful wintery day here...if that is possible...most of us stayed in but Landon and Kaitlyn ventured out to play in the snow!! There is a sheet of ice all over the roads so not sure what tomorrow will mean as far as school goes but one day at a time. It's kind of fun with four "kids" from our house in school...a snow day means we're all home together...not that I get a whole lot of typing done but oh well!!

I have a nasty cold that I'm hoping to kick out of here before real vacation time gets here but we'll see!! Thats all for today from the frozen south:)

It seems there has been so much negative in the news and just so many things happening lately that I thought we have had a year filled with so many things to be thankful for that hopefully these little blurbs now and then about our life will brighten someones day...thanks for reading!! A writer I am not but I love to see all your stories on your blogs and with family and friends far away it makes you all feel sooo much closer!!
